Since 2016, Print Designer has been the industry’s only online quoting tool for printing on packaging. Powerful and intuitive, it simplifies the workflow of an otherwise complex and slow process. Customers who regularly use Print Designer find it to be super easy, even fun, to use. More importantly, in a lot less time and with greater certainty, they’re closing more business.
Since its unveiling at Chicago’s Pack Expo, our newest version of Print Designer is generating a lot of buzz. Our latest version includes better color recognition, truer templates and technical drawings, and an even more intuitive suite of tools. Best of all, the new Print Designer provides the ability to design multiple sides of the items you need most, including layflats, reclosables, poly mailers, lip & tape and wicketed Bags.
If you have not logged on to quote a printed item at Laddawn.com, check it out. Design, get prices and lead times and technical drawings in minutes, and then share your work with colleagues and customers. You won’t look at print jobs in quite the same way again.
On the pricing front, tariffs on Chinese goods continue to dominate sourcing conversations. On September 17, the Office of the United States Trade Representative (USTR) finalized tariffs of 10% on a list of approximately $200 billion in Chinese imports. The new tariffs went into effect on September 24.
On January 1, these tariffs will climb to 25%.
Laddawn enjoys a unique seat at the table. We manufacture thousands of items right here in Atlanta, Boston, Cedar Rapids, Dallas and Reno. So, we’re simply less beholden to overseas manufacturing. And, as imports have helped us provide a larger number of complementary products, we’ve diversified our position in global sourcing. This has allowed us to stay ahead of supply and demand changes and to weather more of the market’s unevenness.
Today, we are able to provide a more modest increase on imports. Prices on all Laddawn imported stock items have been increased 6%.
This will be just our first import stock item price increase in five years. Items include smaller polyethylene and polypropylene layflat, gusseted, lip & tape, vacuum and garment bags, as well as poly mailers and reclosables. Prices on all Laddawn-made and domestically sourced items are unchanged.
On behalf of all of us in Atlanta, Boston, Cedar Rapids, Dallas and Reno,
